Pre- Audition Checklist*

Select your 5 minute audition time slot. If at any point you need to cancel your slot, please reach out to us so we can take you off of the schedule.

If you have any questions about the audition process or would like to request accommodations, please reach out to Eva at president@hearthouseip.org

  • Auditions run May 16-17, 2024 7:00pm-10:00pm, with invitational callbacks on Saturday May 18, 2024 from 11:00-2:00pm

  • Auditions are held at Seton Hall, located behind St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church

  • Rehearsals begin Saturday May 25, 2024, 10:00am-3:00pm. Initial rehearsal will include a full read and sing through, libretto sign outs, measurements, and cast meet & greet

  • Rehearsals run Saturdays 10:00am-3:00pm, and Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 7:00pm-10:00pm. Please note that not all performers will be called to every rehearsal.

  • Dress and tech rehearsals will be held at the Ferlazzo Building Theater mid July, through opening night.

  • Show dates: July 26, July 27 (2 show day), July 28, August 2, August 3 (2 show day), and August 4

*Please note that Pippin may not be suitable for all performers under aged 18 due to underlying mature themes (sex, war, death) and we require that all performers familiarize themselves with the show before applying, and guardians look over the material with their child before signing up.

Prepare 32 bars of a musical theater song you feel best showcases your vocal range this may include songs from the show. We will not be using a live pianist, we will have bluetooth speakers available for your tracks. In addition, please prepare a short monologue (comedic or dramatic); it does not need to be memorized.

In the weeks before auditions we will email out a short dance tutorial video that we expect everyone to learn prior to their audition (we will have staff present to help with this during auditions!)
